Hey [CORRECTED_NAME GOES HERE], last week I had the privilege to preach at a local Thai church where we live. Preaching is difficult for me and not something I do often, but the hardest part was trying to find a topic and takeaway that would be applicable in the Thai culture.
As I began to think and pray, I kept coming back to this universal idea of suffering.
Throughout the history of Christianity, the theme of suffering has been present no matter what culture or time period. Peter talks about it as a refining fire:
"These [sufferings] have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed"
I like to think of this as a "Christian cheat code" and I hope that no matter what you're going through right now, this will be a timely encouragement to shift your mindset as you face these challenges.
