Hey [CORRECTED_NAME GOES HERE], do you want to know the worst part about running a Bible memory podcast and YouTube channel? Everywhere I go, people expect me to be really good at memory. Not just kinda good. Absolutely amazing.
My dirty little secret is this:
I forget what I memorize all the time.
I'm not trying to be humble here at all. I seriously forget my memorized passages all the time. And it used to really frustrate me.
My hope is that this is an encouragement to you. You're not alone - we all forget. Our brains were actually designed by God to forget things because we are finite beings.
Forgetting is NOT failure.
If you're a perfectionist, that's going to be hard to believe. I get it. But it's true and I hope you'll take a few minutes this week to watch or listen to this week's episode where I explain a crazy framework for how to forget well.
