Hey [CORRECTED_NAME GOES HERE], a late Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hope and pray that it was a meaningful time together with friends and family this year. I know it's been a challenging year, but it's good to look back and see all that God has blessed us with.
You have a lot to be thankful for.
For me, one of the surprising blessings from this past year came when I got to meet over 150 people from our Bible memory community in person in Dallas, Texas:
We called it "Scripture Sync" and it was a blast!
Thankfully, I wasn't the only one who thought so:
Scripture Sync was so encouraging because I don't have many other people in my life who are passionate about Scripture memory. I brought my husband along, and it inspired him to get serious about Scripture memory as well. Thank you!
I promise you, there's nothing quite like meeting other believers face-to-face who have a similar passion for God's Word. It's not just about memorizing the Bible, it's about encouraging each other and being encouraged no matter where you are in your spiritual journey.
Last year was amazing, but I'm not kidding when I say that what we have planned for next year is going to be even better!
The next Scripture Sync is happening again in Dallas on June 19-20, 2026. I'm going to be there with my whole family (coming from Thailand) and it would be such a joy to finally meet you.

📣 the BEST Bible Memory event (seriously!) 👇 👇
What is Scripture Sync all about? Here's what our 2025 event looked like. The only thing missing for next year is...YOU :)
Connor shared how using Suno to create songs for memorizing 1 John made reciting incredibly easy—but also raised a real question: Is it possible to memorize the words without truly meditating on their meaning? What do you think—does music help you meditate, or does it sometimes get in the way? Join the discussion here.
Amarah shared how a simple 30-day inductive study routine—recommended by John MacArthur—unexpectedly led them to memorize almost the entire book of Galatians. Slow memorizer? Busy schedule? This method might still work for you. See how it happened (and a few cautions!) in their full post.
Jen shared a thoughtful idea: expanding her 3×5 index card system by adding deeper study using BibleHub to capture cross-references, context, application, and prayer in a simple notebook. She hopes this will bring more meaning to the verses she already carries with her daily, even as she sticks with a small, manageable system for now. She’s asking the community: Has anyone done something like this? What tips would you add? Check it out here and add your thoughts!
Tickets ON SALE
Early bird tickets are now on sale for Scripture Sync Dallas 2026. The tickets are fully-refundable up to 30 days prior to the event, so it's a risk-free decision.
Buy for yourself, put it on your Christmas list or share this with somebody you know who would love to join!
I'm serious when I say that I would love to meet you in person and give you a hug (I'm a hug kind of person, in case you didn't know). Emails and online communities are great, but nothing beats face-to-face interaction, am I right?
If you have any questions about the event, just reply to this email.
God bless,
Josh & the Bible Memory Goal team
p.s. by the way, we've got a super special guest coming on the podcast and YouTube channel next week! I can't wait for you to see it.
